RTG - Design Engineer II (Finance)

The Reading Truck Group, LLC (Reading, PA) is seeking an Design Engineer: Create new and modify existing engineering documentation, drawings, bills of material, or other supporting documentation from a body specification or sales order. The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering or a related field, and five years' academic or work experience in the job offered or a related occupation, to include 5 years' experience in the automotive industry working with sheet metal and plastic components for design, evaluating costs for saving initiatives, working with suppliers and launching new products with specific experience in light and heavy-duty passenger vehicles, including trucks and buses; 5 years of experience in SolidWorks, CATIA, ANSYS, Hyperworks, and Microsoft Office Suite; 5 years of experience performing and evaluating FEAs, GD&T and Design and Process FMEA APQP processes; 5 years of cross functional project management experience following a gated process successfully achieving cost savings and process improvement goals; 5 years of DV, VA/VE, and R&D Testing experience validating innovative designs and releasing new products for production; and 5 years of experience creating detailed 3D models, drawings and BOMs, focusing on manufacturability as well as creating/evaluating DFMEA reports for new products.
