Independent Contractor Coordinator (Finance)



JOB SUMMARY

The Independent Contractor Coordinator (ICC) directly supports national security and suitability investigations through communication and coordination with Independent Contractors (ICs) who focus on performing background investigations on behalf of government clients. The ICC will oversee ICs to ensure timeliness and quality expectations are met. The ICC will work in coordination with the National Engagement Manager, Case Assignment Coordinators, and Finance Department. The work location will primarily be remote from home but may, at times, require reporting to a field office for meetings or training. Travel to other geographic locations (by car or plane) may also be required as needed.

Duties include:
  1. Monitor utilization and performance of IC population to provide regular status reports to the Director of Investigations.
  2. Ensure cases are submitted timely and customer quality expectations are met.
  3. Mentor, support, and coach ICs to ensure a thorough understanding of the contract.
  4. Conduct check rides and provide feedback as needed.
  5. Advise on communication to IC population in accordance with state and federal employment regulations.
  6. Performs additional functions, duties, and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary in order to achieve assigned business objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference depending upon the nature of the position

Basic Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship preferred.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Current (within the last 2 years) Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) or active Secret level security clearance based on an SSBI.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain any other specific special clearances/access requirements.

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required. Additional relevant experience may be substituted for the required education on the basis of one (1) calendar year of experience for one (1) academic year of education.
  • At least three (3) years' experience in the background investigations industry.
  • Experience with metrics tools, processes, and delivery assurance.

Background Prerequisites

Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensing requirements

  • Ability to synthesize information, identify key findings, and draw conclusions.

WORKING CONDITIONS (Physical/Mental Demands)

  • Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
  • Handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential information.
  • Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
  • Speak and hear sufficiently to communicate in person and by phone.
  • Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

Wage range for this position is $85,000-$105,000.
