Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician (Project Management)



Join our team as a Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician, where you'll perform a vital role in supporting hatchery operations across multiple sites in Alaska, including remote off-grid locations. In this hands-on role, you'll diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems, provide expert guidance to site staff, and lead training initiatives to enhance team capabilities. You'll work closely with contractors and vendors, manage preventative maintenance schedules using our CMMS system, and ensure safety standards are upheld across all locations. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities to travel, solve challenging technical issues, and make a meaningful impact on hatchery operations, contributing towards sustainable fisheries in the Prince William Sound.

We're seeking a seasoned professional with 710 years of experience in industrial maintenance, strong troubleshooting skills, and proficiency in systems such as plumbing, hydraulics, HVAC, and off-grid power. Welding expertise, familiarity with CMMS, and experience working on off-grid sites are highly valued. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and adaptable to changing priorities. This is atemporary, hourly position based in Anchorage, AK, with work performed across rural, maritime, and off-grid locations.

This is a seasonal position with a project duration of approximately 9 months every year. Previous applicants and incumbents are welcome to reapply when the position reopens for the following calendar year. Schedules during the project duration can be flexible and/or rotating.

Supervisors Title:

Chief Maintenance Manager

Basic Function: Works with the Chief Maintenance Manager to support the Maintenance Team and Initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities: This position will deliver advanced maintenance support to hatchery maintenance departments across multiple sites, including off-grid locations. Diagnose complex issues, make repairs, and offer expert recommendations to optimize system performance and reliability. Use and train staff in PWSACs CMMS system.

Description of essential duties and responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain complex mechanical and electrical systems across multiple hatchery sites; offer expert guidance and recommendations to site staffDeliver hands-on training and technical instruction to maintenance staffWork is performed across eight locations, primarily including both on-grid and remote off-grid sites Respond to and resolve maintenance issues as assigned, providing remote and onsite support when neededWork closely with contractors and vendors on scheduling repairs where additional expertise may be necessaryTrain staff in the effective use of PWSACs Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Audit Preventative Maintenance (PMs) work orders in CMMS and edit as per assigned scheduleOrient new Maintenance staff as assigned and provide appropriate trainingUphold and enforce PWSAC safety standards; initiate All-Stop when unsafe conditions are observedProvide short-term maintenance coverage for hatchery sites during staff vacancies Complete and submit detailed progress reports, maintenance logs, and other documentation as requiredPotential for work to be performed on company-owned landing craft and provide short-term deck crew coverage during vacanciesOther duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
