Systems Integration Engineer (Mid to Senior Level) - Missile Systems

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Integration Engineer to support the integration, testing, and evaluation of missile systems. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in systems engineering, interface definition, hardware/software integration, and system-level testing. This role involves close collaboration with government customers, prime contractors, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure mission readiness and system performance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead integration and verification activities for missile systems, subsystems, and components.
  • Develop and maintain system interface control documents (ICDs), requirements, and integration plans.
  • Conduct system-level analysis to verify compliance with technical and operational requirements.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze lab, ground, and flight tests, including test procedures and data reviews.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues across hardware, software, and system interfaces.
  • Provide technical input for system design reviews, risk assessments, and trade studies.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including software, hardware, and test engineers, as well as government stakeholders.
  • Support the development and delivery of technical documentation, briefings, and reports.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership as appropriate.

Required Experience/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in systems integration, preferably with missile defense or missile system programs.
  • Strong knowledge of system-of-systems integration, test planning, and execution.
  • Proficient with ASME drawing standards.
  • Proficient with Solidworks
  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and practices.
  • Preparation and presentation of high-level milestone reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex integration and test issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, experience working with government customers.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain).

Preferred Experience/Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Proficient in model-based definition (MBD) utilizing one or more CAD platforms.
  • DoD missile programs, missile guidance and control systems, propulsion, or seekers.
  • Structural analysis utilizing NASTRAN, ANSYS, etc.
  • Composite technologies associated with missile fabrication such as filament winding.
  • Understanding of missile dynamics and aerodynamics.
  • Relevant launcher experience like the PAC3 canister or THAAD launcher.
  • Radar and ground support experience.
  • System safety, reliability, and mission assurance.
  • Requirements development, traceability, and verification (DOORS or similar tools).
  • Leadership of integration or test teams.
