The Tax Analyst in the Ad Valorem tax group is responsible for contributing to the development of tax strategies to help minimize the property tax liability for the company; keeping apprised of current assessment practices and monitoring legislation that could affect the company. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepares assigned tax returns.
Processing tax appraisal notices.
Maintains property tax database.
Gathers fixed asset data and planning strategies for minimization of property tax expense.
Will also be required to interact with other departments within the Company.
Travel flexibility is required.
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Finance or Accounting is required.
A minimum of 0-5 years of experience in the property tax industry.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing, are required.
Strong analytical and research skills are required.
Proficiency with spreadsheet and database applications is required.
A strong willingness to participate in a high energy team environment is preferred.
Strong negotiating skills is preferred.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 5% of the time is required.
