What You'll Do Every shift is an opportunity to learn, grow, and make a difference. As a vital member of our plant team, you will: · Assist with the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of central utility plant systems--including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, compressors, and support equipment. · Support operators in using advanced Building Automation Systems (BAS), SCADA, and computerized controls to track plant performance and respond to alarms. · Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting plant machinery and components. · Help identify equipment irregularities, leaks, or abnormal conditions and promptly report them to experienced team members. · Assist with plant startups, shutdowns, and routine equipment isolations under the direction of senior operators--always following strict safety procedures. · Help collect and record data on equipment performance, system pressures, temperatures, and energy use to support optimal operations. · Maintain accurate logs of work completed, equipment status, and incidents, supporting compliance and continuous improvement efforts. · Participate in team safety meetings, emergency drills, and ongoing technical training programs to enhance your skills and stay current on best practices. · Help keep inventory of critical spare parts, tools, and safety equipment well organized and accessible. · Respond quickly and effectively to plant needs, alarms, or emergency events--always prioritizing safety, communication, and teamwork. · Consistently follow all company safety protocols, including use of PPE, Lockout/Tagout, and applicable codes and regulations--your diligence keeps everyone safe. · Deliver outstanding customer service to clients, regulators, and visitors--proudly representing LB&B Associates, Inc. every day. What We're Looking For Do you have a strong work ethic, a curiosity for how things work, and a willingness to learn from the best? We're seeking candidates who offer: · High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or coursework in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems a plus. · 1+ year of experience in a mechanical, facilities, or industrial setting preferred (but not required--eager learners encouraged to apply!). · Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems (boilers, chillers, pumps, etc.) helpful but not mandatory--on-the-job training provided. · Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely and correctly. · Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to safety and quality. · Willingness to work in varied conditions (standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, confined spaces, heights, noise, temperature extremes). · Flexibility to work variable shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays) and respond to emergencies as facility needs arise. · Excellent teamwork, communication, and a positive attitude--ready to pitch in wherever needed. · Basic computer skills for logging work and reporting issues. · Dedication to learning, reliability, and continuous improvement.
