Accounting Manager (Administrative)



GPI Geospatial is a leader in the Geomatics and Land Surveying industry with offices on the East Coast. Our Charlotte, NC, office is seeking an Accounting Manager to manage the accounting for all of the regional offices in the Charlotte, NC, office.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an energetic and ambitious Accounting Manager to help manage the organization's financial accounting and reporting. The Accounting Manager is a key member of the management team and will have primary day-to-day responsibility for directing and implementing all financial-related activities at GPI Geospatial in conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This is an on-site position based in our Charlotte office.

The Responsibilities:
Run and send bi-weekly labor reports to various groups. Schedule and attend bi-weekly Overhead labor meetings and process labor transfersMonthly InvoicingRun reports and send links to Project Managers of active projects for invoicing. Finalize invoices, package them, and send them to clients. All invoicing is done in Deltek VantagePoint software. Update earnings accordingly for revenue generation and note multiplier variances. Assist other Billers with billing questions or Project Manager discussions.Revenue Review- review projects for the entire branch and discuss multiplier variances/comments with other billers.Income Statement Account Review- review the Income Statement and analyze the accounts for accuracy and research discrepancies.Package monthly earnings reports for Sr. Mgmt. and attend the earnings meeting.Address Corporate questions on earnings with any assistance from the Project Manager and/or Director.File monthly FL sales tax return and annual WV return.Aged ARs- monthly review of Aged ARs and address with billers on follow-up with the Project Managers and clients.Bi-Annual Budget- work with the Branch Manager on the budget exercise.Address Corporate Quarterly and Annual audit requests.Attend Corporate Accounting meetings/training sessions.Supervise and train Accounting Assistants.
The Experience:
A Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent Accounting Manager experience. Deep understanding of the Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesExtensive Deltek VantagePoint experience. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
