Maintenance Technician I (Finance)



Inframark is hiring a technician to join our wastewater maintenance team responsible for the operations and maintenance of sewer collections infrastructure. Candidates with lift station maintenance experience are strongly encouraged to apply. This position involves maintenance and repair of components associated with water and wastewater facilities, including bearings, seals, pumps, gearboxes, and electrical systems. Work is performed under the direction of the maintenance supervisor.

Range is $25-$30/hr., depending on level of exp.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prioritize daily tasks to address urgent maintenance issues and ensure safety compliance.
  • Respond to emergency calls for equipment failures.
  • Install, check, and repair electrical components.
  • Inspect pump stations and machinery to ensure proper operation and compliance with regulations.
  • Repair machinery, complete work orders, and document repair procedures and parts used.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on pumps and machinery, including oil checks and lubrication.
  • Perform minor facility and shop maintenance.
  • Maintain grounds at pump stations using lawnmowers and weedeaters .
  • Maintain repair tools and equipment.
  • Coordinate repairs with department heads.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and logs of maintenance activities.
  • Support plant operations as needed, including lab testing and pump schedule adjustments.
  • Attend safety training and adhere to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required ; technical training in electrical or plumbing preferred.
• At least 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of:

  • Mathematical skills including use of fractions, percentages, ratios, and algebra.

  • Understanding of electrical systems up to 480 volts.

  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems.

  • Skill in:

  • Proficient with power and hand tools, trucks, tablets, and electrical multi-meters.

  • Able to examine and interpret data for action-oriented results.

  • Strong documentation and reporting abilities.

Working Conditions

Employees may be exposed to extreme temperatures, bright or dim lighting, loud noise, fumes, and hazardous materials. Compliance with safety standards is mandatory .

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing.
• Ability to operate tools and machinery.
• Must lift over 50 pounds and exert over 100 pounds of force regularly.
• Willingness to work non- standard and overtime hours.
