Warehouse Lead - 1st Shift (Information Technology)

What You'll Get to Do

The Warehouse Lead is focused on the set-up of workstations, assignment of work, the supple of materials in proper combination and sequence for shipment in support of schedule attainment and required productivity levels. The Warehouse Lead reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

 

This role is perfect for an individual who possesses strong leadership skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and maintain professionalism.  A vital member of the Warehouse, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

 

Job responsibilities include:

  • Ensures effective employee relations
  • Provides employee coaching and development
  • Resolves employee issues through problem resolution as outlined by policies and practices
  • Communicates all issues to Supervisor
  • Demonstrates effective and professional communication skills.
  • Balances quality, productivity, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.  Works to continuously improve in all areas.
  • Directs departmental performance measures with Supervisor, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to Supervisor.
  • Provides leadership. “Leads by example”
  • Assume responsibilities in the absence of the Supervisor (regarding the production line), except for hiring, discipline, and discharging of employees.
  • Work towards continuously improving workplace organization, safety, quality, and productivity, and supports an environment that empowers employees.
  • Uses required personal protective equipment.
  • Load and unload metal racks of lineal aluminum material operating seated forklift
  • Move metals racks of lineal aluminum material to and from the breaking team operating standing forklift
  • Move material to racks for storage and be sure locations are transferred in the computer by scanner or keyboard
  • Check pick list and receipts for accuracy
  • Organize shipments within warehouse
  • Other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For

  • High School graduate or GED
  • Forklift/warehouse experience
  • Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to read tape measure
  • Ability to read and understand Graham Architectural Products' blueprints, drawings, and routings
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at once, i.e., picklists, receive trailers, delivery, must be detailed oriented to ensure loads are received/shipped correctly.
