IT Analytics & AI Intern (Summer 2026) (Information Technology)



What You Will Do

  • Support analytics and AI initiatives by contributing to data exploration, model development, and dashboard creation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, business analysts, and product owners to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Build and test prototypes using tools like Python, SQL, Power BI, and Azure ML to solve business problems.
  • Document and present findings to stakeholders, highlighting insights, recommendations, and next steps.
  • Assist in data preparation and pipeline development, ensuring data quality and readiness for analytics and AI use cases.
  • Explore emerging technologies in AI, machine learning, and automation to identify opportunities for innovation.

How You Will Do It

  • Use modern data platforms (e.g., snowflake, Power BI) and AI tools (e.g., Azure ML, Visual Studio Code) to build scalable solutions.
  • Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to break down complex challenges and propose data-driven approaches.
  • Leverage agile methodologies to work iteratively, receive feedback, and continuously improve.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, adapting your message to the context.
  • Learn from experienced mentors and participate in team meetings, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

What We Look For

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in IT, Analytics, and/or related field.
  • Some experience with SQL and PowerBI is required.
  • Experience with SAP, Tableau, or Snowflake is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to be in the greater Milwaukee area in the summer
  • Duration: Summer 2026. Up to 40 hours per week. Part-time during the school year may be available.
  • Working Arrangements: Hybrid internship – must have a quiet workspace away from interruptions, with the option to work in the office. Be able to maintain regular contact with the supervisor/team via virtual methods.
