Technical Product Manager - Career (Finance)



The Technical Product Manager - Career will be responsible for defining and driving the global capability set for our global commerce platform. Your objectives would be to allow lines of business to reach markets, validate hypotheses faster, and achieve enterprise functionality at lower cost; including eCommerce functions, Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) functions, and integration points to enterprise systems we use to do business.

Equifax has a hybrid work schedule that allows for 2 days of remote work (Monday and Friday), with 3 required onsite days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) every week.

This role will work the required onsite days at our Equifax office in Alpharetta or midtown ATL (OAC), with the flexibility to visit the other location one day per month.

This position does not offer immigration sponsorship (current or future) including F-1 STEM OPT extension support.

This position is not open to third-party vendors or C2C.

What you'll do

  • Industry Capability Assessment: Provides inputs to the overall Market Opportunity Assessment (Stakeholdering) for the product capabilities managed; Identify customer capability needs by partnering with Business Product Managers and other internal stakeholders, reviewing intake mechanisms for internal requests; Participates in the evaluation of competitive landscape, market trends and industry research to identify and articulate high-potential product capability opportunities; Conduct market validation through review and testing of concepts with internal users and external customers (voice of customer, customer advisory).
  • Product Vision and Strategy: Provides inputs in product strategy and planning sessions; Provides inputs to connect the execution KPIs with the strategic goals; Understand and communicate the product vision and can connect the dots with the larger strategy of the product line and BU.
  • Product Definition and Planning: Provides inputs to determine the right delivery increments that balance commercial and technical goals and constraints; Provides inputs in the process of identifying dependencies and synergies for the delivery plan and partners with teams to align timelines; Provides inputs in the evaluation of delivery alternatives including build, buy and partner; Supports development of business cases (articulating scope, approach, return on investment, capacity planning and delivery milestones of the plan) and define product roadmap used in planning sessions across the Product Delivery Value Stream; Track attainment of objectives through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Product Delivery and Launch: Provide Business/Technical requirements for product development, inclusive of functional and cross-functional requirements; Able to answer questions and document answers regarding how specific requirements connect to the WHY of the solution; Collaborate with delivery partners (Product Owners, technology, D&A and others) to identify and document the need for trade-offs; Participates in the work with business product managers to align requirements with Legal & compliance and Operations to ensure compliance with applicable controls; Collaborates with internal partners (ie Operations, Sales, Marketing) for delivery, including supporting documentation, demos and training; Collect and process feedback from the different increment demos to adjust and evolve the product roadmap; Continuously track upstream and downstream dependencies and synergies that will drive the success of the plan.
  • Growth and Portfolio Management : Monitor product adoption and use, and collect customer feedback; Track, monitor and ensure effective performance of the product including attainment of revenue, unit cost and margin objectives; Manage product offerings to ensure new capabilities meet customer/market needs; Collect, analyze and interpret data to reach conclusions and/or present insights and findings to drive product lifecycle management decisions including enhancements and sunsetting.
  • Problem assessment and solution design - Make decisions, drive your product, measure your outcomes.

What experience you need
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5 - 7 years of Product Manager and/or Product Owner experience in a cloud-based and/or SaaS environment.
  • Experience driving or using an enterprise eCommerce solution that integrates with ERP, CRM, DXP.
  • Experience in the Identity and Access Management space, knowledge of compliance or best practices for handling sensitive data.
  • Demonstrated experience with pragmatic marketing frameworks, Lean Product Management, and Agile concepts.
  • Exposure to cloud-based products and services, demonstrating an understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure, and deployment models.
  • Experience using Product tools required (Aha!, JIRA, Figma) or similar tools.

What could set you apart
  • Experience as a Software Developer, QA, DevOps Engineer or some other related technical field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams, in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Experience demonstrating Design Thinking/creative design thinking to develop innovative business solutions for real needs; including using tools such as personas, empathy mapping, prototyping and iteration models.
  • Product Management certification(s).
  • Cloud certification.
  • A degree in Computer Science.
  • You have experience driving products/platforms internationally.
