Information Technology Support Technician - Jackson MI (Education)

Job Summary:
The IT Support Technician is responsible for administering and managing systems that support all IT operations. This includes ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of IT services by addressing user requests, resolving service disruptions, troubleshooting technical issues, and performing routine operational tasks.
The ideal candidate is an intuitive problem solver who is organized, detail-oriented, and flexible. They should be comfortable providing cross-functional support, possess strong customer service skills, and maintain a positive, can-do attitude.
Major duties/responsibilities:
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 supportmanage email and in-person support tickets in a timely manner.Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, cameras, and peripherals.Perform regular maintenance on hardware across various facilities.Configure all new and re-purposed devices issued to employees or corporate resources.Oversee the asset lifecycle to properly decommission and replace aging devices.Manage alarm and access control systems, ensuring employee access aligns with the security plan.Oversee and maintain Zebra label printers and standard office printers.Install, run, and terminate Ethernet cabling; assist with basic network troubleshooting and connectivity issues.Maintain the corporate directory, including employees without Office 365 accounts, to accurately reflect the organizational chart, phone numbers, and email addresses.Serve as the primary contact for end-user help desk support.
Required Qualifications
13 years of help desk experienceProficiency with Office 365Experience with Azure Active Directory and basic networkingExperience with CCTV or access control systems is a plus
