Sales Technology Training Manager (Marketing)



Job Summary

The Sales Technology Training Manager is the primary training partner responsible for effective development and deployment of training related to Medline's sales technology (ie CRM, SmartQuote, Rep Reports, Mpower, eComm, etc). This person is responsible for planning/scheduling, design, development, implementing, and evaluating training initiatives to achieve specific learning objectives and business outcomes. This role is connected to customer success, as successful training of sales reps can directly impact customer satisfaction and retention.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Partnership & Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts (Sales Ops and other technical teams), sales leadership, trainers, and other commercial stakeholders to identify training needs and ensure all training initiatives are successful. Own and manage the roadmap of training initiatives that parallels the sales technology roadmaps. 

  • Curriculum Development: Work with internal Instructional Design teams and/or external contractors to design and develop engaging and effective training programs that align with the organizations business and technology needs. 

  • Training Implementation: Manage the implementation of training programs –scheduling, coordination, and communication with participants and stakeholders. When needed, facilitate training programs or sessions, acting as the subject matter expert on the specific topic.

  • Evaluation and Measurement: Assess the effectiveness of training programs, collect data on participant engagement and learning outcomes, and identify areas for improvement. 

  • Trainee/Participant Support: Provide ongoing support to participants during and after the training program, addressing all questions, and providing additional resources. 

  • Technology Adoption and Management: Stay up to date on the latest training technologies, tools, and trends – recommending strategies for leveraging them. Managing existing training technology systems in partnership with Information Systems and close coordination with the Learning Management System/System Administrator.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze training data to identify trends. Report training completion data and other key metrics – identified at project start – to management.

  • Strong Communication and People Skills: Effective communication is crucial for collaborating with participants, trainers, and stakeholders. 

  • Training Design and Development: Experience in designing and developing effective training programs is essential. 

  • Project Management: Managing multiple projects and timelines effectively is necessary for implementing training initiatives. 

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing data and reporting on training outcomes is important for measuring effectiveness. 

  • Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Being able to adapt to changing needs and troubleshooting problems is crucial. 

  • Technical Facilitation: Being able to educate others on technical processes and confirm understanding. 

Education

Bachelor's Degree

Work Experience

At least 7 years of experience implementing and delivering sales training courses and programs to various audience levels within an organization.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Experience presenting to and communicating with various audiences (ex. senior management and non-technical audiences).

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$85,280.00 - $123,760.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
