Job Summary
Under close supervision, the Electrical Trainee will assist employees of higher classifications on maintenance work in the generating station; under directive supervision, does such work of a relatively minor degree of scope and importanceJob Description
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the plant equipment and entire generating unit.
Responsible for operating and maintaining circulating water systems, condensate/feedwater systems, boiler systems, turbine systems, generator systems, electrical systems, and various other plant systems.
**This is a Bargaining Unit position represented by IBEW 2337. Hourly rate $33.92.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent - required
Verifiable electrical experience highly preferred.
Good knowledge of basic math, reading and writing skills.
Ability to use all hand tools and other various tools.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
**All applicants (excluding applicants currently employed in specific positions in Fossil Generation) must be a successful candidate on the Plant Operator Selection System/Power Plant Operations and Maintenance (POSS / MASS) in order to be considered a candidate for this position. POSS / MASS exams are administered on an as-needed basis by Human Resources. Communication will be via EMAIL.
