Material Handler (Transportation)
Load, unload, and move raw materials to designated areas in the plant.
Stage materials for departments based on production schedules.
Maintain accurate counts of material issued to and returned from production using company systems.
Organize and maintain material storage areas to promote efficiency and workplace safety.
Support finished goods handling, including loading products for shipment.
Administrative tasks as needed (filing, scanning documents, etc.).
Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Communicate effectively with production, supply chain, and management teams to minimize downtime.
Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
Performs other duties assigned by management to meet business needs.
Job Requirements:
Prior experience in inventory control and shipping and/or receiving in a manufacturing environment or distribution center.
Dependability and punctuality.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.
Basic computer and inventory tracking skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an active, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ability to safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other equipment.
High School diploma or equivalent.
