Southwest Power Pool (SPP) is seeking a flexible, collaborative, and driven leader to join our team as Supervisor of IT Applications – Markets. In this key leadership role, you will provide direct oversight to a team of IT Applications professionals responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and support of essential software applications and databases used by SPP staff and our member companies across the energy market.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and experienced team leader with a background in IT application development and support. You should be comfortable managing technical teams, balancing shifting priorities, and collaborating across departments to deliver results. A solid understanding of compliance standards (such as NERC), project coordination, and application lifecycle management is essential.

What You'll Do:
Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and guidance to a team of IT Applications professionals, ensuring high performance, clarity of roles, and delivery of quality results.
Plan, prioritize, and evaluate team workload to meet project timelines and support goals.
Collaborate closely with Project Management, IT, and business units to align resource assignments with organizational priorities.
Oversee the full application lifecycle—from project initiation to production implementation—with a focus on efficiency, communication, and technical excellence.
Manage employee development through regular check-ins, development plans, real-time coaching, and formal performance reviews.
Foster an inclusive and positive team culture that aligns with SPP's Mission, Core Values, and Business Model.
Maintain awareness of supported systems, including their business and technical requirements.
Serve as a liaison for SPP's committees and working groups, and may represent the organization at NERC or other industry forums.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards and support audit readiness.
Manage team-related budgeting processes and special initiatives as needed.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
Position Type, Location and Hours :
This is a full-time, onsite hybrid position based in Little Rock, Arkansas. The standard workweek is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with extended hours may be required. Job requires managing staff working rotating shift schedules with long hours.
