Arcadis is currently searching for an entry level Architect, with 0 to 4 years' experience, to join our Water Business line team in our Columbus, Ohio office.

Role Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated Architect to join our team in Columbus Ohio office with support from one of the best-qualified municipal consulting firms in the country. The Staff Structural Engineer, with the support of a strong nationally recognized technical staff, will utilize their expertise and technical knowledge of structural design to assist and lead projects to deliver successful projects within the Water / Wastewater Industry and help build and grow our practice.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Architect will work on water / wastewater design engineering and construction projects; responsible for assisting the performing assessments, preliminary and detailed design plans and specifications for Water / Wastewater projects including; plant upgrades, storage facilities, storm water systems, pump stations, and distribution / collection systems.
• Assist in conducting code reviews and investigations.
• Assist with the production of construction drawings, specifications, bid packages, and cost estimates for projects.
• Assist in construction administration and submittal review of architectural items.
• Assist in feasibility review of alternative design approaches.
• Work effectively in team situations and establishes strong relationships with other teams where overlap of client project work exists.
• Assist in developing plans, specifications, requests for proposals, and other contract documents.
• Work directly with a variety of engineering disciplines, office / project staff, client and sub-contractors, throughout the project life cycle, and therefore should have clear and concise, oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to coordinate meetings, conduct effective client presentations and prepare written reports.
• Ability to exercise their own judgment on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
• Some travel may be required to support project needs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or a related field of study.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Skills to include; public speaking, ability to work as part of a team, preparation and development of technical documents, prior client involvement and/or relationship skills as part of the project team.
• Understanding drawings, specifications, schedules and cost estimates.
• Functional knowledge and experience with AutoCAD/REVIT software.
• Functional experience with MS Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with W/WW industry.
• Experience with building codes and standards such as IBC, etc.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $52,000 - $91,800. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
