Advanced R&D Engr/Scientist (Finance)



YOU MUST HAVE:
  • Qualified candidates must possess a PhD or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry and 1 year of experience in a chemistry field.
  • Must have 1 year of experience with the following: experience in catalysis and adsorbent fundamentals focused role and application in refining and petrochemical process technology; industrial experience using process simulation tools such as UniSim/Aspen and statistical tools for data analysis; experience in modeling, process simulation, process development, or reaction engineering, capability in experimental design, exposure to advanced numerical methods, and familiarity with computer programming.
  • Approximately 10% domestic and international travel required.
  • Telecommuting permitted up to two (2) times per week.

Advanced R&D Engr/Scientist for UOP LLC (McCook, IL)

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Lead and support the development of new hydroprocessing process and catalyst technologies that will process traditional feeds and coprocessing of renewable, circular plastic to provide sustainable technology solutions to the energy industry.
  • Lead and drive projects to deliver integrated solutions for upgrading traditional and hybrid feedstocks (e.g., plastics, renewable and conventional feeds) into valuable fuels and petrochemicals.
  • Enable growth in testing capacity and digitization efforts in hydroprocessing.
  • Contribute to cross functional teams including specialists from R&D, Engineering, Technical Service and Manufacturing for the development of innovative solutions for the conversion technology areas.
  • Develop and implement robust project plans to meet technology delivery commitments on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Lead pilot plant experimentation and drive model-based design of experiments (MBDOE) approach to bring the effectiveness and agility.
  • Build awareness of the market, competition, and new developments.
  • Contribute to technology strategy development to build a strong pipeline of sustainable solutions that will drive growth.
