Graphic Designer/OPS (Finance)



The Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) Team is responsible for leading USF's ongoing strategic enrollment planning process, an integrated, information-based exercise that involves all institutional stakeholders in identifying, defining, prioritizing, implementing, evaluating and refining the university's enrollment goals and strategies. This includes developing USF's three-year Strategic Enrollment Plan (SEP), one of the guiding documents of our institution, as well as convening and leading the Strategic Enrollment Management Council, Yield Team, the College SEM Team, and the associated workgroups and project teams charged with producing projects. The SEM Team includes the Offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, and the University Registrar, as well as the SEM Operations Team.

The Graphic Designer is a professional creative position responsible for assembling together images, typography, or motion graphics to create a piece of design aimed at facilitating better communication and understanding. Under general supervision, the Graphic Designer is responsible for working independently on a variety of small to large-scale projects, producing designs to meet the diverse communication needs of Strategic Enrollment Management Operations. The incumbent designs advertising and collateral materials including but not limited to brochures, newsletters, posters, flyers, maps, banners, videos, website mockups and other digital assets, utilizing various assets provided by the University, Strategic Enrollment Management and other campus partners to enhance print material, creating assets when required; and creates high-level visual communications and develops graphic content consistent with USF identity or templates.

*Fully Remote Graphic Designers can work remotely or from a collaborative office space in Tampa as long as all job duties are fulfilled and established goals are consistently met.Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Technical Writing, Digital Media, or related field with two years of experience in related positions; or a Master's degree in the fields listed above. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute an equivalent rate for the required experience.

A degree in a creative field such as Graphic Design, Digital Media, etc, is required to understand how to apply design to business needs.

Special Skills or Training: Ability to use Adobe Creative Cloud applications, primarily InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere Pro as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is essential. Knowledge of ADA requirements and UI/UX a plus.

Concept Planning and Development: Gather information about new projects (audience, message, budget, deadlines, print or digital, etc.), develop concept outlines, brainstorm creative ideas, develop sketches and wireframes, solicit feedback, and lead creative discussions with the team and clients.

Leadership Communications: Communicate directly with senior leadership across SEM for development of PowerPoint presentations, reports, and other documents needed. Apply
