Howmet Aerospace is currently looking for a Wax Support Technician to join our Dover Casting group in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours for this Afternoon Shift will be 230PM-11PM. Training is Monday - Friday 6:30AM - 3PM for several months.

Anticipated Pay Range: $25 - $30 per hour. *Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible for maintaining the PM system for cleaning and tracking molds. Assists in tool room activities.

ENVIORNMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Expected to assist in the implementation of EHS Values and policy statements and accompanying principals.
  • Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report all job related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook).
  • Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Attend all EHS training.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Inspects, disassembles and cleans injection molds as required.
  • Set-up and maintains a PM System for cleaning and tracking molds.
  • Assist waxing areas in maintaining department organization and up-dating of instructions. (i.e. operating instructions and activity instructions)
  • Performs all simple and semi-complex set-ups of equipment and molds.
  • Maintains records or other paperwork as required.
  • Ability to use basic tool room equipment.
  • Able to disassemble, clean and reassemble wax molds.
  • Able to pick up and deliver molds.
  • Assists in tool room activities as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintains work area in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
  • Able to meet physical demands of job.
  • Performs other basic jobs assigned by supervision.
