Inventory Control (Finance)
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verify product quantity and quality, including finished products and raw materials, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Identify , monitor and report on slow moving, obsolete, customer stock and over- ran inventory and/or raw materials.
- Work with supervisors, shipping and warehouse personnel to develop methods to improve the ability to locate , identify and track inventory.
- Participate in all physical inventories.
- Perform inventory cycle counts for raw materials and finished goods.
- Monitor assigned reporting and relay information as necessary.
- Maintain resin silos to support production - tap railcars physically and SAP transactions.
- Maintain railcars, including contacting rail customer service for resin car delivery
- Use SAP to investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Transport materials to work areas and work in trailers for loading and unloading.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required , in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed).
- Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Work Experience
Required
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience
Desired
2-5 years of experience in inventory controls or accounting
Travel Requirements
- 10% or less
- Must have ability to travel to and from Urbana plant locations, as requested .
