NI-Advanced Practice Provider, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Non-Surgical (Finance)



UW Health in northern Illinois is seeking an exceptional Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join our dynamic Cardiothoracic Surgery team. Your clinical support includes the following:
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient care to cardiothoracic patients, including consultations, pre-operative evaluations, and post-operative follow-up.
  • Support inpatient rounding as needed, collaborating closely with cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiologists, intensivists, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in advanced programs such as Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) and partner with the Carbone Cancer Center in caring for thoracic oncology patients.
  • Contribute to the success of the region's only designated Heart Hospital, recognized for excellence in cardiac services.
  • Shared call responsibilities with additional weekend/call compensation.

Qualifications:
  • Licensed as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of Illinois and active DEA license (or the ability to obtain licensure prior to or upon hire).
  • Experience in cardiothoracic surgery, critical care, or cardiology strongly preferred.
  • Commitment to providing patient-centered, compassionate care.
