Aggregate Foreman-Mobile (Finance)

Overview

Elam Construction, A Summit Materials Company, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Traveling Aggregates Foreman to oversee and coordinate on-site operations at various aggregate production facilities throughout Colorado and Moab, UT. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong knowledge of aggregate materials, crushing and screening equipment, and field operations. The foreman will be responsible for daily production activities, crew management, safety compliance, and ensuring that jobsite goals are met or exceeded.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead field crews in the production and processing of aggregates
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of all equipment, including crushers, conveyors, and loaders
• Travel to multiple job sites and stay on-site as needed (typically 80%+ travel)
• Schedule and coordinate daily operations, material movement, and equipment usage
• Conduct safety meetings and enforce company safety standards and OSHA compliance
• Monitor quality control and ensure materials meet specifications
• Communicate regularly with project managers, engineers, and logistics teams
• Perform minor mechanical troubleshooting and equipment adjustments
• Maintain accurate reports on production, safety, and labor hours

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5+ years of experience in aggregate production or heavy civil construction
• Previous supervisory or foreman experience required
• Strong knowledge of aggregate plant operations, materials, and equipment
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently and work in remote locations
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and team-building skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required)
• MSHA certification a plus (or willi need to obtained during first week)
