Controls/ Electrical Engineer - Mfg Engineering
Provide controls/electrical engineering services to integrate mechanical systems, electronic controls, and computer science to design and create new production and manufacturing equipment and processes for the Artazn facility and its customers. Primary focus is to specify, design, and manage the installation of capital projects to improve plant equipment and processes for increased productivity, reliability, and reduced operating costs. Secondary focus is to provide technical support to operations/facility for repair, modification, and upgrades of existing equipment, processes, infrastructure, and building and grounds.
50% Research, specifies, and designs new or improved processes and equipment. Provides cost estimates, equipment layouts, design prints, and time schedules for the installation of new processes, machines, and equipment. Write and implement PLC programs (specifically Control Logix System), HMIs, microcontrollers, servo drives, and vision systems. Research, select, and apply sensors, communication technologies, or control devices for motion control, position sensing, pressure sensing, or electronic communication. Create electrical drawings using CAD software. Represents engineering on cross-functional teams.
25% Provide technical support to operations, maintenance, and lab personnel in maintaining production equipment, laboratory equipment, and building and grounds;
15% Work with production supervision and personnel to improve production processes and equipment. Work with production personnel to maintain machine performance to ensure quality output.
10% Work with production and maintenance supervision/personnel to ensure compliance with all safety codes and regulations.
