Senior Application Lead (Internal Posting Only) (Finance)

Provides senior-level management in the development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information technology systems for one or more of the university's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application modules.

1. Provides leadership and oversees daily operations of system functionality for one or more ERP application modules.
2. Exercises independent judgement based on extensive technical or specialized knowledge and experience.
3. Builds relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders. Collaborates with Application Lead, technical staff and end? users regarding ERP capabilities, enhancements and disruptions.
4. Delegates assignment and provides leadership to functional staff in the support, development, and implementation of assigned ERP application modules and modifications.
5. Articulates ideas and viewpoints to senior management; identifies and initiates projects; drives the resolution of issues.
6. Develops work plans and track project progress; including risk, issues and resources to deliver successfully.
7. Provides for the training and career development of functional analysts.
8. Oversees preliminary/cursory testing for implementations, upgrades and bundles and recommends improvements for assigned application modules.
9. Participates in technology-related activities for the University and community.
10. Develops, reengineers and/or integrates new business process logic rules and coordinates training requirements for end users. 11. Directs the implementation of end user training including developing campus-specific training materials and serves as a subject matter expert on system functionality.
12. Establish and maintain departmental operational standards and procedures; aligns plans to project goals and objectives.
13. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

MQ:
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience.

Additional Responsibilities:
• May manage lower-level Application Leads or Functional Analysts
• May manage a sub-team
• May act as backup for director

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following:
• Expertise in multiple Campus Solutions modules
• Expertise with Slate or is open to gaining expertise in this application
• Strong supervision skills, including task delegation, staff mentoring, and performance management
• Effective work leadership skills, with the ability to develop work plans, track progress, manage risks, and ensure successful outcomes
• Strategic communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior management, cross-functional teams, business owners and end-users
