Job Description:

The Emerging Tech Strategist is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize the use of technology at Schreiber.  The ideal candidate will have a robust background in implementing complex technical solutions as well as extensive knowledge of business processes. This role will play a pivotal part in aligning our digital strategy with business goals and optimizing business operations through innovative solutions.  The position requires a high level of indirect leadership, as the Emerging Tech Strategist will drive cross-functional collaboration, influence stakeholders, and lead transformative initiatives without direct authority. 

What you'll do

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Emerging Tech strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in technology.
  • Create a long-term roadmap that includes system upgrades, new implementations, and process improvements

Business Process Optimization

  • Analyze current business processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation and improvement.
  • Collaborate with business units to re-engineer processes, enhancing efficiency and productivity through digital solutions.
  • Develop best practices and standard operation procedures for integration into business operations.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with senior management to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Influence and guide stakeholders across various departments to gain buy-in for initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure seamless communication and collaboration

Innovation and Optimization

  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to apply technology for innovation and efficiency improvement.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
  • Ensure that implementations enhance efficiency, productivity, and scalability.
  • Promote continuous learning and improvement regarding technologies.

Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience leading and implementing complex technical solutions and driving organizational change
  • Extensive experience in business process analysis and optimization.
  • Proven track record of leading complex technical projects and driving organization change
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Deep understanding of AI and machine learning concepts and their applications in business.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Agile-SCRUM)
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of various business processes
