Senior Transmission and Distribution Seller-Doer (West) (Finance)



The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Transmission & Distribution Seller-Doer to support the growth of our transmission and distribution (T&D) business in the western U.S., with a strong emphasis on HVDC systems, substations, and transmission line infrastructure. This role is dedicated to supporting utility and constructor clients in delivering large-scale electric transmission projects.

This individual should bring a robust network of industry contacts and leverage Tetra Tech's technical resources to drive strategic growth of our T&D-focused services throughout the west and beyond.

Your Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Transmission & Distribution Seller-Doer. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage client relationships with utilities, transmission developers, and EPC contractors, particularly in the western U.S.

• Lead business development efforts and secure new work related to HVDC systems, substations, and/or high-voltage transmission line projects.

• Prepare competitive proposals and lead multidisciplinary teams.

• Apply critical thinking and flexible problem-solving in dynamic project settings.

• Ensure all work aligns with internal protocols, legal requirements, and industry best practices.

• Support project delivery across engineering design and construction oversight.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Civil/Structural.
  • A minimum of 10 years of managing transmission and distribution projects for utilities or constructors
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) or eligible to register.
  • Proven track record of winning and delivering work in the T&D market
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and client engagement
  • Existing network of clients in the utility sector and/or construction industry

The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000+. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
