Position Summary

The Operator - Packout team member for Middlestreet Graphics will operate our Packsize On Demand Packaging system. This role is critical in producing custom-sized corrugated boxes to support our efficient and sustainable packaging operations.

JOB DUTIES:

• Operate the Packsize machine to produce right-sized cartons for outbound shipments.
• Program carton dimensions into the Packsize system based on order requirements.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory of corrugated materials.
• Work closely with the shipping and fulfillment team to ensure timely packaging.
• Ensure quality control by checking finished cartons for defects.
• Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures.

Qualifications - External

Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent degree.

Experience: 1-3 years of previous packaging, manufacturing, or machine operation preferred. Familiarity with Packsize equipment is a strong plus.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems.

Certifications & Licenses: Must be able to be trained to operate a forklift, pallet rider and or pallet jack.

Other Requirements: Knowledge of: Packout environment distribution environment; beverage industry preferred; inventory systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Skill in: internal customer service. Ability to: count accurately, decipher discrepancies and make corrections, work quickly, independently and efficiently; multi-task; communicate effectively with other employees and develop good working relationships; adapt to change; read and write; perform basic math functions (e.g. addition and subtraction); obtain a forklift license; operate a forklift and graphic design finishing equipment (e.g. printer, laminator, electric cutter, binding equipment). Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods. Other functions, skills and abilities may also apply.
