Business Architect (Lead) (Information Technology)

Sierra7, Inc. is seeking a Business Architecture (Lead) to join our team to drive stakeholder alignment and capability mapping efforts that underpin VA Office of Inspector General (OIG) enterprise architecture transformation under the Data Integration and Modernization Support (DIMS) initiative. Leveraging the Business Architecture Body of Knowledge (BizBOK) framework, this role will facilitate discovery, analysis, and modeling of OIGs current and future business domains. The architect will work closely with the Enterprise Architect Lead, Solution Architect, and agency stakeholders to create business architecture deliverables that provide evaluator-facing clarity, traceability, and strategic insight.

This is a full-time remote position with occasional onsite collaboration as needed in Washington, DC.

Position Responsibilities:

Lead business architecture discovery and stakeholder interviews to develop capability, value stream, and organizational mapsDefine, analyze, and document current-state business capabilities and gaps across OIG mission areasCollaborate with EA Lead to align business architecture artifacts with strategic and technical modernization goalsFacilitate development of to-be business models , value delivery flows, and capability maturity overlaysMap business information, decisions, processes, and stakeholders to technical architecture domainsContribute to development of transition plans and sequencing recommendations based on capability evolution and organizational readinessTranslate business architecture concepts into evaluator-ready visual and narrative formatsProvide traceability of business goals to proposed systems, platforms, and modernization strategies
