Role/Department: Senior Compensation Analytics Consultant/ HR Workforce Analytics

At Northern Trust, data drives all of our decision-making and HR is no exception. The HR Workforce Analytics team pioneers Northern Trust's approach to talent strategy and organizational growth. As a member of the team, this position will play an important role in helping leverage vast troves of data to generate insights and inform decisioning-making for internal clients across the globe.

As the Senior Compensation Analytics Consultant, you will play a pivotable role driving transformation and insights to evolve Northern Trust's Total Rewards strategy. This role provides recommendations and implementation of compensation analytics solutions for employees, cost modeling, performance and attainment analysis through a deep understanding of data visualization and applied data science to convey insightful analytics. You will work closely with Workforce Analytics, Total Rewards, Finance, and IT teams to drive growth through dashboards and insights that enable scalable data-driven decisions and best in class compensation reporting.

The key responsibilities of the role include:
• Design and implement compensation analytics and reports that align with the company's strategic goals and values. Support a high-performance culture by partnering strategically with our HR Leadership team.
• Develop cost models, scenario analyses, and insights into our Incentive Plan design and Sales Performance by synthesizing information from various sources. Assist leadership in interpreting findings to make informed decisions and continuously enhance dashboard visualizations.
• Serve as a data & business process SME demonstrating knowledge surrounding Human Capital Management systems, Compensation Management systems, upstream financial reporting and CRM systems, and downstream BI and reporting capabilities.
• Develop and document data and business process flows. Identify efficiencies to support end-to-end automation, provide requirements and recommendations for configuration changes, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key business partners across HR, Finance, IT and Risk teams.

Skills/Qualifications:
• 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence reporting, Finance, Business Analysis, Sales Ops, Sales Compensation or knowledge transferable function.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, SQL Development, and Programming using a variety of databases (e.g. Snowflake)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Math (or a related field) is required for this role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with minimal oversight, using discretion, experience and data to make strategic recommendations to the business.
• Works in a proactive and collaborative manner to drive efficiency - eliminating manual processes where possible.
• Strong data visualization & communication skills and ability to effectively senior stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Working Model: Hybrid (#LI-Hybrid)
We have a balanced hybrid working model to ensure you get the flexibility you need, and the successful candidate will spend their time between working in the office and working from home.

Salary Range:
$95,600 - 162,400 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
