Electrical Designer (Engineering)
Are you someone with demonstrated experience ranging from control panel fabrication to conduit assembly with an OEM machine manufacturer who wants to make the transition to electrical design.
Do you have a working knowledge of codes and standards relating to industrial electrical assembly? For example, NFPA70, National Electrical Code, NFPA79, Industrial Control Panels, and UL508A, Industrial Control Panels.
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of industrial electrical design principles including three phase systems, single phase systems, electronics, and low power DC.
Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) 2D software, to produce schematics and assembly drawings (Autodesk product experience preferred).
Proficient in the use of Windows® based PCs.
Proficient in the use of Excel for engineering related work.
Possesses a demonstrated ability to analyze issues and creatively problem solve solutions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to maintain good working relationships with Customers, internal Sales Department, Management and Manufacturing personnel.
What your day would be like:
Create electrical schematics, diagrams, and assembly drawings using AutoCAD.
Create Bills of Materials, check designs, and write purchase requisitions that specify appropriate electrical components to meet production objectives.
Provide support to the automation, purchasing, electrical and mechanical production, and field service groups as required for the electrical design of the furnace system.
Support controls testing efforts during furnace startup, both in-house and field commissioning as required.
