Member Services Specialist (Sales)



We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Member Services Specialist at Safe Harbor Lauderdale Marine Center. This role is multifaceted, combining concierge services, event coordination and social media/email marketing for our property. The ideal candidate is highly organized, personable, creative, and possesses excellent communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Concierge Services:
Act as the primary point of contact for Members, providing exceptional customer service and assisting with any inquiries or requestsMaintain a deep understanding of the property's amenities, services, and local area to offer personalized recommendations and enhance the member experienceAnswer all crew requests including accommodations, car rentals, medical needs, grocery stores, transportation, shopping, salons/spas, travel, local activities, etc.Assist with reservations and requests including hotels, car, housing, etc.Update and grow vendor list (referrals and relationships with local businesses) by listening to guests feedback and responding accordinglyStay informed on local events/activities and general local knowledge for referralsMaintain and monitor Crew Lounge and request maintenance/updates when necessaryPerform daily walk-throughs in the gym, pool, and crew lounge area to uphold safety and supervision standards

Event Coordination:
Plan, organize, execute and attend a diverse range of events at propertyCollaborate with various teams to conceptualize event ideas, secure necessary resources, and execute event logistics from start to finishAnalyze event outcomes and gather feedback to continually improve event offeringsCoordinate and attend all Safe Harbor Lauderdale Marine Center events (most are weeknights, some weekends included)This includes organizing event sponsors, securing vendors and coordinating set up with property facilities teams and existing member service specialistsGenerate monthly calendar of events

Social Media and Email Marketing:
Manage and curate our social media presence across various platforms, creating engaging content that reflects our brand and engages our target audiencesRegularly capture content from the property and design eye-catching graphics, write compelling copy, and schedule posts to maintain a consistent and active online presenceDevelop and implement social media strategies to drive member engagement, attract new Members, and enhance community visibilityWork with Central Services Team to develop content and execute effective email marketing campaigns to communicate upcoming events, promotions and important updates to MembersWork with Central Services team to design and distribute printed marketing collateral for upcoming eventsOther duties as assigned by Manager

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related trainingWear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work areaReport all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately

Technical & Physical Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrior marina experience preferredPrevious customer service experience preferredProficient in Microsoft OfficeAbility to sit for long periods of timeAbility to lift 30 poundsRequires being outdoors for social media content capture and event executionAbility to work evenings, weekends and some holidays as requiredHighly organized individualSavvy with social media and email marketing platformsAlways communicates effectively and courteously with fellow teammates and membersContinuously follows policies and procedures while seeking out more efficient ways of accomplishing dutiesShows resolve and overcomes difficulties in a positive and productive mannerGladly provides responsive, and high level of service to our teammates and MembersEagerly puts forth the extra effort to accomplish dutiesAdapts quickly and efficiently to changing priorities in order to needs
