Automation Technician, 1st shift (Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm)
Job Summary: The Automation Technician is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and machinery. This role ensures that all machines operate efficiently and effectively, minimizing downtime and maintaining production quality.
Responsibilities Include
Preventive Maintenance:

Perform regular preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Maintain maintenance schedules and logs.

Troubleshooting and Repair:

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in machinery and equipment.
Perform timely repairs to minimize equipment downtime, including replacing worn parts and components.

Installation and Setup:

Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.
Calibrate and adjust machinery to meet production specifications.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and labor hours.
Document modifications and improvements made to equipment.

Safety, Compliance, GMP:

Follow all safety protocols, GMP, and CRA regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
Ensure that all equipment is compliant with industry safety standards.

Collaboration:

Work closely with production teams to identify maintenance needs and improve equipment efficiency.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding maintenance issues and solutions.

Training and Support:

Provide training to operators on proper equipment use and basic maintenance procedures.
Support and assist in troubleshooting machine operation issues with production staff.

Experience

2+ years experience in industrial maintenance or as an industrial electrician is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex machinery and systems.
Familiarity with AutoCAD for creating or modifying technical drawings is a plus.
Experience working with vision inspection systems is advantageous but not required.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.

Frequently required to walk, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; use distance vision; depth perception
Occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; work in wet or humid conditions, in high places and outdoor weather conditions; exposed to fumes or airborne particles
