Schedule: M-F
Hourly: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

About the Role
The Accounting Specialist is a key member of the accounting team working with the Accounting Supervisor and other members of the accounting and finance team. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for helping to maintain accurate accounting records. This position will be involved in preparing invoices, managing company credit cards, and supporting the Accounting Supervisor and Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department.

Responsibilities
· Prepare customer invoices and verify data accuracy, ensuring compliance with customer agreements and company policies
· Collaborate with multiple locations across the Midwest to gather necessary information for accurate and timely invoicing
· Review labor assignments tied to job costing, ensuring accuracy in invoice preparation
· Manage corporate credit card program by providing support to cardholders, processing data into the accounting system, and accurate reconciliation to the general ledger
· Assist accounts payable with processing invoices and other tasks as needed
· Participate in month-end close as assigned
· Identify, develop, and implement process improvements within assigned responsibilities to support the company's continuous improvement initiatives
· Perform other accounting and administrative tasks and projects as assigned

Experience
· 2-year Associates Accounting degree or equivalent work experience
· Corporate Accounting experience, preferred
· Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
