Job Description

We proudly participate in students' educational and professional development. We give interns a glimpse into the civil and structural engineering profession and mentor them to develop transferable skillsets. At KPFF, interns can find themselves collaborating with other engineers who are excited to share their professional experience. Each intern will walk away with a unique story to tell.

The High School Internship program will begin the week of July 14, 2025. Students will work half a day in the office, three days a week, for four weeks. We are looking for curious individuals who are willing to learn about engineering, consulting, and the construction industry.

Our structural team consists of structural engineers and drafters working in a vast array of building design fields, such as high-rise towers, office buildings, hospitals and medical centers, parking garages, and higher education buildings, using a variety of building materials including steel, concrete, and mass timber. Our civil team works on a variety of projects from site development to utility infrastructure to regional stormwater facilities in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. You will work within a fun, dynamic, and diverse team and will have the opportunity to engage on projects from the beginning planning stages through construction documents, and during construction. Most of our work is performed in our office setting; however, our interns will have the opportunity to visit a number of project locations at various stages of project design and construction.

We are passionate about developing great engineers. Join us and become part of a team that works on exciting projects with exceptional clients!
