Senior Events Manager, North America Events, AVP (Finance)



Who we are looking for

This position is responsible for implementing a regional events and sponsorship strategy that supports Global Marketing's strategic objectives, focusing on:

  • Responsible for supporting the VP, NA Head of Events and Sponsorships on the regional implementation of the client event strategy, as well as strategic internal events for the senior leadership team.
  • This role will work closely with senior management, business and channel heads and sales / client relationship teams to activate the event strategy and increase engagement with key stakeholders externally
  • Responsible for developing an integrated marketing approach for event activation, including PR, social, content strategy, client and internal communications, lead generation and marketing analytics
  • Driving operational excellence within the events team - implementation of global best practices and efficiency through maintaining and enhancing control procedures.
  • Actively partnering with key regional vendors, consultants and outsourced providers to provide cost effective and innovative methods of operation.
  • The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, global environment - while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. They must also demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.

    What you will be responsible for

    As an you will

  • This region implements 20-30 event engagements per year.
  • Responsible for developing an integrated marketing approach for regional event activations, including PR, social, content strategy, client and internal communications, lead generation and marketing analytics.
  • Develop communications plans across event lifecycle including client communications, agenda programming and promotions.
  • Partner with global events colleagues as well as marketing channel leads to ensure alignment across client event experience
  • NA regional reporting including calendaring, event guides, and budget management.
  • NA vendor management, including governance and due diligence requirements.

  • Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5-7 years experience with project managing complex event programs; preferably in B2B financial services environment
  • Moderate experience with video and podcasting platforms and the associated promotion of posted content
  • Proven ability to plan, manage and execute multiple events simultaneously
  • Experience in event engagement and sentiment analytics.
  • Considerable knowledge of vendor and third-party project management and negotiation
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools; experience in customer engagement tools like CVENT and Marketo
  • Experience with social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook)
  • Experience in digital events tools, both collaboration and virtual events platforms
  • Self-sufficient, prepared to work on both strategic and tactical activities; ability to work autonomously
  • Willing to manage schedule; occasional weekends and evenings required
  • 20-30% travel; assessed in accordance with recent and updated company policies

Salary Range:
$80,000 - $132,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
