In this role, you'll work closely with Senior Mechanics to inspect, maintain, and repair components both in our shop and occasionally on-site at marine vessels or customer locations. What You'll Do
Core Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls of mechanical components.
  • Support on-site service work as needed (marine vessels, customer facilities).
  • Contribute to general shop operations: machining, assembly, inventory, receiving, and more.
Technical Duties
  • Follow technical manuals and service procedures.
  • Maintain accurate daily service reports and document inspections and test results.
Safety First
  • Follow all company safety protocols and wear required PPE.
  • Immediately report any incidents, injuries, or safety hazards.
  • Complete all mandatory annual safety training.
Admin & Reporting
  • Submit accurate timecards, expenses, and job-related reports.
  • Maintain personal tool inventory and company-issued equipment.
  • Keep certifications up to date in line with service progression.
Customer-Focused Mindset
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship that reflects pride and professionalism.
  • Represent the company positively and communicate clearly with customers.
  • Resolve questions or concerns in a timely, respectful manner.
Performance & Conduct
  • Complete assignments on time and to standard.
  • Follow company dress code and uphold a professional demeanor at all times.
What We're Looking For

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One or more of the following:
    • Associate degree in a technical discipline
    • 3+ years of military experience with relevant mechanical systems
    • 3+ years of industry experience in related mechanical fields

Preferred:
  • Working knowledge of diesel engines
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and written/verbal communication in English
  • Ability to manage time under pressure and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to travel up to 30% and possess (or obtain within 3 months) a valid U.S. passport

Security Clearance Requirement:
This position requires access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (U-NNPI) and is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN). Proof of U.S. Citizenship (no dual citizenship) is required.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
  • Hands-on work with large rotating equipment in industrial environments (marine, gas compression, nuclear).
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs. regularly and perform physical activities including standing, climbing, kneeling, and crawling.
  • Requires vision acuity including close, distance, color, and depth perception.
