Water Process Intern (Finance)

Role Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Water Process Intern to join our Resilience Water Business Line in Toledo, OH or Columbus, OH. This role is perfect for someone passionate about environmental engineering and keen on gaining experience with wastewater treatment processes and research. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced team to support ongoing projects related to water treatment and management, contributing to meaningful solutions for current environmental and regulatory challenges. We serve many clients and project types in many market sectors. We combine technical expertise, a passion to serve, and a willingness to be adaptable in every project to serve water, industrial, and environmental clients nationwide. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic culture with a chance to be mentored as part of a team of solid engineers

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide technical and design support for water, wastewater, or industrial project designs as part of a team.
  • Grow professionally by engaging in various market sectors with the guidance and experience of the existing team.
  • Manage multiple, unique assignments simultaneously with the initiative and ability to take on new projects and challenges regularly.
  • Assist in conducting detailed analyses and preparing technical reports

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills, particularly in technical report writing and data analysis using software such as Excel. Familiarity with other software (GIS, AutoCAD, Revit, process modeling, hydraulics) is advantageous. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, who can work effectively in a team. Attention to detail, a proactive attitude towards learning, and the ability to adapt to new challenges are essential for this role.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing advanced degree in Engineering associated with Water industry.
  • Prior internship experience in a consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment.
  • Expertise in drinking and wastewater treatment, waste management and biodegradation of contaminants

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $16.50 - $35.00. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
