Analyst - Supply Chain (Finance)



POSITION SUMMARY

The Supply Chain Analyst develops and drives process improvements using lean methodology to make the supply chain work more efficiently and ensure customer demand is being satisfied.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages day to day purchasing for direct materials.
  • Develops processes and workflows to standardize multiple processes.
  • Develops tools and documents for data collection as well as enhances and streamlines the analysis process and standards.
  • Obtains supplier related information to upload in various databases.
  • Processes orders in support of business needs placed on the supply chain team.
  • Gathers and compiles accurate data for reports and completes data analysis for material requirements and capacity planning.
  • Prepares reports and documents clearly summarizing the results of data analysis.
  • Collaborates with the sales, customer service, engineering and manufacturing teams to provide inventory plans to meet expected service levels for all stocked products.
  • Coordinates with product development team on new item opportunities.
  • Analyzes and maintains data of product categories.
  • Provides inventory purchase recommendations based on sales trends, shipments, consumption rates, safety stock, receipts, case pack quantities, lead times and production MOQ's (minimum order quantity).
  • Works with suppliers as needed to resolve material issues.
  • Leads projects as assigned.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 3-5 years customer service/supply chain experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.

PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and talk, hear and see.
  • Regularly/Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low/moderate.
