Unit Research Administrator (Finance)

Salary Range: $47,080 - $70,619

Position Summary:

The mission of the Office of Clinical Research (OCR) is to provide faculty with resources, information and expertise in clinical research to advance the science of healthcare. The OCR facilitates the process of conducting clinical research, from inception through completion, with the ultimate goal of delivering state of the art healthcare services to the community in the Greater Tampa Bay area and beyond. We are committed to streamlining procedures and enhancing services for clinical investigators and research staff, affiliate partners, extramural sponsors and research volunteers. The strategic services, education and training, and comprehensive review processes provided by the OCR are designed to foster research teams who are benchmarking the next generation standard of care.

The Office of Clinical Research continues to see an unprecedented growth in clinical research. OCR has recently taken on oversight of federally funded clinical trials which meet specific criteria, in addition to a large influx of Covid related clinical trials. The Unit Research Administrator position will assist with the negotiation of industry funded clinical trial agreements, as well as federal awards. This position is key to OCR's continued success meeting tight project startup timelines and the advancement of the clinical trial portfolio at USF Health.Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree and 1 year of professional administrative experience; or a Master's degree. Progressively responsible related experience may substitute for the required education on a year for year basis.

FLSB1310 Equivalency:
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.

Working in a professional capacity with industry and federal sponsors to negotiate clinical trial agreements for new clinical research and amendments for active studies.

Accurately updating databases, storing applicable documents, and assisting with the generation of monthly reports.

Develops and fosters relationships with PI/study teams, Sponsors, Contract Research Organizations, and other research partners/customers.

Assists with the development and maintenance of departmental workflows, guidance documents, and SOPs relative to job function.

Perform other duties as assigned.
