Student Assistant - FWS (Finance)



The USF School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Sciences (SPT&RS), within the Morsani College of Medicine, is the home to the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree program, a post-professional Orthopedic Physical Therapy clinical residency, and the Athletic Training Program. Each entering class of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training students engages in a cutting-edge, inter-professional curriculum delivered by a dynamic faculty from various healthcare disciplines.

This position will support the School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Sciences Clinic Management, Staff and Physical Therapists in a clinical setting, serving patients daily.

Standard Learning Objectives:

As a result of this position, students will be able to:

Minimum Qualifications: Applicant must have a current Federal Work Study (FWS) award for the current academic year in order to apply for this position. Applicants are asked to demonstrate proof of their FWS award by saving their "Award Overview" screen from Student Self-Service as a print screen and then pasting it into a Word document or saving it as a PDF and uploading it as part of any additional required application materials. If other documents (in addition to your FWS award) are required as part of your application, you must upload ALL documents as one document.

**Accessing Student Self-Service & Saving Your Financial Aid Offer (2025-2026)

  • Go to my.usf.edu and sign in with your USF Single Sign-On (NetID).
  • In the My Resources tab, click Student Self-Service.
  • From the left menu, select View Financial Aid Overview.
  • Click Offer.
  • In the top-right, make sure Aid Year is set to 2025-2026 (change it if needed).
  • Click the Print icon and choose Save as PDF.

  • What's included: The Offer page shows the applicant's loans, scholarships, and grants for the selected aid year.

    Minimum Requirement to work in the Clinic: USF clinical compliance and MHA training and additional Vaccinations for a clinical setting.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Health and Sciences field of study
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
    • Knowledge of general office equipment and office procedures.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Escort patients to and within the treatment area
    • Assist with clinic organization (ie: restocking stations, returning equipment to proper place, replacing linens, etc)
    • Assist with inventory maintenance, providing aid to Physical Therapists
