Specialty Nurse - Solid Organ Transplant (Finance)
The specialty nurse will support solid organ transplant recipients throughout the continuum from evaluation, listing, transplantation, and post-transplantation. This will include the coordination of the evaluation of potential transplant candidates, listing of candidates, coordination of transplants, and care post-transplant.
This position will be responsible for providing ongoing education and support surrounding care of the transplant recipient to patients, families, and other health care providers and nursing staff. This role will also include clinical duties and office coverage (messages, calls, faxes) as well as call coverage for kidney offers. Compliance with internal and external regulatory standards including UNOS, CMS, and Joint Commission will be required.
As a member of the transplant team, the specialty nurse will need to be able to effectively work with a large, multidisciplinary care team to care for children and their families.
Position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
