JOB SUMMARY

The IT Manager – Data and Applications will be overseeing and supporting a small team of developers to deliver robust software and data solutions. This individual will be skilled in C# application development, data warehousing, and ETL pipeline creation using tools like SSIS. This position will be collaborating with project managers to ensure timely project delivery in addition to building reporting platforms using reporting tools. The IT Manager will be responsible for continuous improvement, system optimization, and staying current with industry best practices and technologies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee development and support activities carried out by a small team of developers to design and develop applications and support database/ data warehouse solutions that includes design and development of various database artifacts.
  • Oversee a small team of developers, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise as needed.
  • Work closely with project managers to prioritize tasks and deliver projects within specified timelines.
  • Stay up to date with the latest C# development trends and technologies and share knowledge with the team to promote continuous improvement.
  • Identifying new opportunities and check for areas of improvement in the existing setup and proactively work towards improving the system.
  • Cleaning / munging the data using Python/ R into formats useful for advanced data analytics.
  • Documenting processes related to application development lifecycle, database design, configuration, and performance.
  • Keeping abreast of developments and best practices in application development and database engineering.
  • Building applications to help capture and forecast depletions, wine supply planning and wine blend management.
  • Design, development, and maintenance of applications and Databases.
  • Collaborate with the development team to design and implement C# applications based on client requirements.
  • Assist in the coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues encountered during the development and maintenance phases.
  • Support existing data warehouse system by being the go-to person for addressing operational issues and answering questions from the business users.
  • Playing a key role in design and development of new data models that add to the enterprise data warehouse.
  • Build a robust reporting platform that derives intelligence from the data using reporting tools like Power BI, Reporting Services.
  • Building ETL pipelines that can clean and integrate data from multiple data sources using Integration Services.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information technology or other related engineering discipline, plus three (3) years of experience in job offered or in developing enterprise applications and database solutions.
  • One (1) year of experience:
    • Designing and implementing C# applications based on client requirements.
    • Building ETL pipelines that can clean and integrate data from multiple data sources using Integration Services.
    • Cleaning / munging the data using Python/ R into formats useful for advanced data analytics.
    • Working with wine supply chain and blend management software
    • Using DAX to build enterprise grade PowerBI reports.
    • Using SQL server and related Business Intelligence technologies [SSRS, SSAS and SSIS] to convert raw data into actionable information.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Primary work activities are within a remote office environment.

COMPENSATION

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $142,418 - $191,300.
  • Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience; skills, knowledge, and abilities; education; and other position related factors.
