The Operational Excellence department provides oversight and management for PJM's Operational Excellence (OpEx) program and Internal Controls program. Its primary goal is to enhance PJM's OpEx culture by fostering awareness, enabling collaboration, and facilitating the sharing of best practices and tools related to Continuous Improvement (including Human Performance Improvement, Event Analysis, Education, and Training), Innovation (Through Collaboration and Partnerships), and Data-Driven Decision-Making (Including Event Prevention and Metrics).
Job Overview:
The (Sr./Lead) Analyst I (II) is responsible for coordinating efforts to support the Operational Excellence focus areas including Human Performance Improvement, Event Analysis and Training. This includes working closely with the teams and sponsors across PJM to coordinate Human Performance and Compliance Training, Event Analysis process step management which includes event entry through corrective action development, and administration and management of the event analysis and action item tracking tool.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey information across various teams and stakeholders. They will demonstrate strong organizational abilities, effectively managing tasks, deadlines, and priorities. A keen attention to detail is essential, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all aspects of their work, from documentation to task completion.
Essential Functions:

Support and facilitate the development of annual program goals and detailed work tasks based on defined program strategies.
Provide support, leadership, and guidance to the Cross Divisional Core Team members for implementing the program and process improvements consistently across PJM
Monitor, review and communicate trends and emerging issues; provide escalation of issues where needed
Support and participate in, and ensure alignment with, key industry groups including NERC, NATF, and ReliabilityFirst
Develop and communicate key Program metrics
Support and facilitate Human Performance Tool Training, TapRooT Training, and Corrective Action Tool Training
Support administration and requirements gathering and implementation for the event analysis and action item tracking tool
Support projects and initiatives in the Operational Excellence department and Compliance division
Characteristics and Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or 5 years of equivalent work experience
5 years of work experience coordinating or supporting Operational Excellence, Human Performance Improvement, or process improvement programs
5 years of Knowledge of industry-standard and best practices for human performance improvement and event analysis programs5 years
5 years of experience with: Project coordination, Process Improvement, Process Documentation, Event Analysis, Quality Assurance
Ability to communicate effectively with management, peers, and customers
Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal skills
Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
Ability to visualize and solve complex problems
Experience leading teams
Experience writing process documentation
Experience with implementing process improvements

Preferred:
MBA, MS Information Systems or at least 5 years of work related experience
Experience with supporting an Operational Excellence program in the Electric Utility Industry or a similar relevant industry
Experience with PJM Operations, Markets, Planning, and ITS functions
Experience with PJM's internal systems, business process, and tools
Experience with PJM's regulatory and governing documents
