Advanced Software Engineer (Finance)



YOU MUST HAVE:
  • Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, and six (6) years of experience in software development.
  • Full term of experience must include: experience applying software development fundamentals; experience working with C#, .NET or another object oriented language; experience actively collaborating with engineers and peer teams; experience working to troubleshoot and solve problems independently as well as part of a team; experience multi-tasking and staying organized in a dynamic work environment; experience or knowledge of Agile development, interactive development, and continuous integration; experience with cloud environment programming and automation, Azure and OpenShift; and experience in problem solving and debugging complex software.
  • Must have 3 years of experience with the following: knowledge of hardware component schematics, and analysis of Input and Output data for monitoring the health of the system; experience with hardware and software interactions at system level to diagnose integration issues; experience with configuration, validation, and integration of hardware components into the software solution; experience with communication protocols of AFDX, CAN, and ARINC429 to validate the data of Avionics Software.
  • Telecommuting permitted up to two (2) times per week.
  • Up to 10% domestic and international travel required.

Advanced Software Engineer for Honeywell International, Inc. (Phoenix, AZ)

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Work with experienced software engineers to conceptualize, design, engineer, and execute industry leading projects from start to finish.
  • Develop complete and concise system Description of Operation (DOO), test plans, integration of unit, Functional, Contract Tests and Canary deployment strategies.
  • Develop a distributed, event-driven features within a containerized and decoupled microservices architecture.
  • Support occasional off-shift activity for production issues.
  • Attend all project related status meetings, functional design reviews and team meetings.
  • Understand scope, budgets, and schedules for the project.
  • Maintains and tracks issues list, reporting to Supervisor / Manager as required.
  • Complete all in-house testing and simulation.
