Position Overview: Linde is seeking qualified applicants for our Accounting Manager role. The Accounting Manager must demonstrate initiative in handling issues, be self-motivated, dependable, and work within a team environment. Responsibilities: - Engage in month close activities and prepare any adjusting entries required for monthly financial reporting for R&D and COE. - Monthly PCAT Time Tracking System interface to JDE for R&D, SHEQ, COE. - Work with R&D and COE Teams to setup Expense and Capital Projects in Project Authorization System. - Collaborate with project managers to review project costs on a monthly / annual basis. - Reconcile project accounts including bill outs to Linde Affiliates as needed. - Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes related to projects. - Prepare and Review Various Accounts reconciliations related to R&D and COE activity on the Corporate Balance Sheet. - Identify process improvement opportunities and implement process changes. - Manage engagement with outside consultant for Gov't Contract Rate Review and Approval. - Manage Government Accountant/s, responsibilities include: - Monthly invoicing, adherence to FAR for 30+ Projects - Assist with the Development of Annual G&A/Fringe/Overhead Rates with Consulting Firm - Annual Audits of Government Projects - Ad hoc reporting on an as needed basis in support each of the groups noted above. - Requires broad knowledge of practices and procedures, problem solving skills and calls for originality and ingenuity in developing strategies. Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required. - CPA and/or MBA preferred. - 5 years of accounting experience required. - 2 years of government accounting preferred. - Excellent problem solving, process management and time management skills. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Working knowledge of Hyperion, OBIEE, JD Edwards, Excel. - Knowledge of Tableau preferred. - Outside Travel <10%.
