Global Practice Group Director, Education (Finance)

Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Global Practice Group Director (GPGD), Education for the Architecture and Urbanism division of the Global Business Area Places. The GPGD reports to Business Unit Director.

As the GPGD, Education, you will oversee the Education practice globally within A&U, ensuring consistency, growth, and excellence in service delivery across regions while aligning the practice groups goals with the overall organizational strategy .

Role accountabilities:

Implement the GAU Division strategy:

  • Acts as the Division global interface resource for the Sales/Growth organization on behalf of A+U. Is the conduit to the Arcadis enterprise and will be a connector, SME and provide information, input and/or feedback as a representative of A+U.
  • Acts as the liaison to other Practice Group Directors and Managers across all market focus area to share information and lead coordination/collaboration activities services/solutions enterprise wide.
  • Develop and implement the business plan and ensure the team understand it, and the role that they play in its achievement, through the development of the appropriate culture and the provision of context and clarity.
  • Lead the identification and targeting of clients and opportunities to achieve profitable practice group growth. By working with teams and through the delivery of service excellence will drive organic revenue in the practice group.

Strategic Leadership and Business Development:
  • Develop enduring relationships with clients to understand their business needs and ensure client satisfaction to improve retention and deliver organic revenue growth.
  • Drive the growth of the practice group identifying new markets, clients, and opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners to expand the organization's influence globally.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote the practice group's services
  • Facilitate the sharing of knowledge, expertise, and resources across different regions to foster collaboration and innovation
  • Promote the adoption of new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance the practice group's capabilities
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and innovation through publications, speaking engagements, visible external leadership

Build strong relationships and create successful teams:
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to practice group managers and teams across regions
  • Drive talent development initiatives including recruitment, training and succession planning
  • Create a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, continuous learning and feedback with the practice group.
  • Standardize processes, methodologies, and best practices across all regions to ensure consistency and quality
  • Monitor the performance of the practice group globally, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to budgets
  • Coordinate with regional leaders to ensure alignment and seamless execution of initiatives

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or post-graduate qualification and/or fellowship in an appropriate professional institution,
  • Registered Architect, , or equivalent preferred,
  • Deep expertise in a the Educations Sector
  • Substantial experience (18 years or more) in a discipline, including 10+ years' experience in Architecture consultancy,
  • Experience leading and implementing complex business change solutions,
  • Experience managing business relationships at executive level,
  • Experience managing teams across geographies,
  • Significant experience on large-scale/highly complex projects

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $136,000 - $239,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
