Harbor Child Care is a vibrant and nurturing early childhood learning center committed to the development and success of young children and their families. We are currently seeking a highly organized, tech-savvy, and energetic Business Manager who will also serve as the Summer Camp and School-Age Program Coordinator. This dual-role position is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about early education and program leadership.

Position Summary:
As the Business Manager, you will oversee the center's administrative operations, financial tracking, and support services. As the Summer Camp & School-Age Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising programming for school-age children during out-of-school times, including summer and school breaks.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Management Duties:

  • Oversee daily administrative and business operations of the center
  • Maintain accurate financial records, assist with budgeting, and generate reports
  • Manage payroll support and staff scheduling coordination
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Office Suite for record-keeping and communication
  • Monitor inventory and purchasing needs
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements
  • Provide support to the leadership team with daily operations and long-term planning
  • Use digital tools and platforms to streamline operations

Summer Camp & School-Age Program Coordination:

  • Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate programming for school-age children
  • Manage enrollment and maintain all documentation for the school-age program
  • Coordinate staff schedules and training for the camp and afterschool program
  • Communicate regularly with families about schedules, activities, and expectations
  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for all participants
  • Collaborate with other staff and departments to align programming with center goals
  • Prior experience in business or office management, preferably in a child care or educational setting

  • Experience planning or managing school-age or summer camp programs

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Office tools

  • Technologically savvy and quick to learn new systems

  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Recreation, or related field preferred

  • Flexible availability Monday - Friday
