Channel Exchange Licensing Specialist (Finance)



Summary:

The Licensing Specialist supports Channel Exchange's sales efforts by providing expert guidance on Microsoft software licensing. Acting as a trusted advisor to both customers and internal teams, the Specialist helps identify appropriate licensing solutions, ensures compliance, and assists in negotiations.

A strong understanding of Microsoft products and licensing programs is essential to succeed in this role.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Focus primarily on Microsoft Licensing opportunities across new, upgrade, and renewal deals.
  • Assist in managing day-to-day relationships with existing clients and assist in developing new business.
  • Support internal teams and customers on complex licensing scenarios, ensuring optimal solutions.
  • Respond to inquiries related to Microsoft Licensing, including troubleshooting provisioning and activation issues.
  • Offer support to the internal sales team as well as customers around Microsoft licensing, products sets, and licensing capabilities
  • Support internal sales team and customers with knowledge and insights from ongoing Microsoft education as well as ongoing knowledge around Microsoft licensing programs
  • Prepare accurate and timely licensing quotes and proposals for qualified opportunities as needed.
  • Track and manage deliverables for customer meetings, including license reservations, renewals, and true-ups.
  • Evaluate and ensure profitability for all licensing opportunities.
  • Stay current on publisher programs, offers, and certifications to maintain subject matter expertise.
  • Perform all necessary tasks to support the continued growth of the software licensing business.
  • Other duties as assigned

Reporting Relationships: Reports to the Channel Exchange Director

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years experience with Microsoft Licensing programs
  • High School Diploma
  • A deep understanding of Microsoft products & services
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent time management & organizational skills
  • Ability to service customer accounts with professionalism
  • Experience solving complex customer problems & recommending solutions
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to conduct research and exercise good judgment

Preferred:

  • Degree preferred
  • At least two Microsoft certifications
  • Experience and knowledge in Azure and Dynamics

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand at a computer terminal for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, combining remote and in-office attendance designated for this position. Office located in Greenville SC. Fully remote available is outside of Greenville SC
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Compensation:

Compensation Range: $60,000-$65,000

Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer. This position is not eligible for a variable pay component as part of the hiring range.
