Technical Manager (Finance)



Position Overview: Linde Gases US (LGUS) is in search of an Electronics National Technical Manager within the Customer Engineering Services Team. The technical manager must be a technical expert in Ultra High Purity requirements including: Electropolished tubing, material specification, cleanliness, orbital welding procedures, QA/QC, clean room fabrication, and field installation. The technical manager will work cross functionally to scope, estimate, design, and execute bulk supply system projects for the electronics market. Project scopes will include the following equipment: bulk tanks, vaporizers, regulation modules, purifiers, filters, and analytical equipment as needed. This position must work effectively across the organization to provide safe, reliable, and cost-effective supply system solutions to customers. This position functions independently with minimal supervision serving as the technical main point of contact for all electronic bulk CES projects, electronics standards, and electronics work process. Projects will be focused on new business but will also include upgrades and maintenance efforts. This role will be focused on UHP/Electronics applications but will also support Customer Service nationally on other initiatives. Principal Responsibilities: - Project manage all aspects of electronic bulk supply system projects including scoping, estimating, design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning. - Provide technical support to sales teams nationally for the electronics business driving the proper selection of equipment and specs per the customer needs. - Lead and perform vendor technical qualification efforts. - Work within CPE and work jointly with region Service Centers on projects as appropriate. - Engage and manage third party engineering firms, Linde Engineering, and contractors where needed to achieve results. - Manage the overall project schedule and deliverables, communicating effective to internal and external customers. - Provide technical expertise on drawing reviews, scope packages, safety reviews, etc. - Identify and fill gaps in Linde's current standards and standard designs as it relates to the electronics business. - Make timely technical decisions that have extended impact on work processes and outcomes based on awareness of viability, cost and other benefits, sometimes with limited information and under tight deadlines and pressure. - Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting, field support for operations, including being on call outside normal business hours. - Interacts frequently with internal and external management and resources to manage workload to support business growth needs. Qualifications: - 15 years of experience working with bulk Customer Service industrial gas supply systems equipment and design required. - 5 years of experience working within the UHP/electronics industry required. - 5 years of management/project management experience required. - 5 years of experience in hands-on field construction of UHP system required. - Demonstrated track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously and collaborating with external partners including customers and suppliers. - Working knowledge of engineering disciplines - mechanical, civil, electrical, and controls. - Knowledge of design Codes and Standards, including NFPA, SEMI, and CGA - Ability to communicate to all audiences. - Ability to meet schedule deadlines and budgets. - Willingness and ability to travel 30% domestically.
